Default Who Has The Moving Truck?

I manage a smalltown facility and the owner has one other storage property in the next town (30 miles away). We have 1 rental truck between the two of us.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can accomodate customers in one town and the next without spending so much time fetching a truck?

I'd appreciate some help.

Default Howdy Smalltaters

Hey smalltaters, thanks for telling me about this site.

Since I am the one chasing you down for the truck every Saturday, I agree. We do need a better system to schedule the truck.

Maybe we could swap the days we get the truck. Like I will have it Tues through Thurs and you could have Fri through Mon (then switch)?

That might work, if we layed it out far enough in advance, then our customers could see when the truck is here or there and plan a time to rent it from one of us ;-)

I know we both usually have some cusotmers on Saturdays though. What if it's my Sat and you need it?

Default how to rent a truck

Have you mentioned the issue with retrieving a truck 30 miles away to your owner? If there are enough renters moving into your storage spaces that need a truck also, perhaps there is enough demand to justify buying a new (used) rental truck.

Default new truck for rent

Ya, he is looking into getting another truck for rent. We have had this one truck for a good long time, and it gets lots of use - lots of use just getting from my store to bizgal's anyway!

Two new-er truck is what I think they are considering.

Default Rental Truck Storage

We have several storage properties spread across small towns. We tend to keep the truck at one location over the other.

If we are nearly occupied at one, we will keep it at the other, where new tenants will have more opportunity to move in. (since we like to rent it to the ones moving in rather than out)
