Default RV Gas Prices and Storage

I have seen most of the RV's that we have still parked, unmoved this summer. While it is more common that the RV owners are driving their RV's in and out of RV storage, this summer has been less active.

Perhaps they are all waiting for winter so they can RV south, but it is unusual that there are less summer road trips.

Most of our storage facilities have a small portion of RV storage and boat storage parking spaces. Because we only have a relatively small number of spaces, they are usually completely occupied.

However, we have seen a lot of changes in tenancy to these spaces this year, where, in the past, we had RV owners rent the space for 8 years or more.

Default RV Storage For the Winter

Our car storage and RV storage parking spaces are 92% occupied. They do become more occupied in the winter - when RV road trips are not as common and families need RV Storage.

I don't think our RV storage customers are throwing in the towell and selling their RV's just yet - besides, who would buy them. So they'll still need RV storage come October

Default No Parking

We do not have any parking spaces. It is something we have considered, but every time we build it just makes sense to make that space part of the unit mix so and raise our rentable sqaure feet.

RV storage or boat storage parking spaces are easy to fit into nooks of your property if you are building. Parking spots fit easily where building codes may resrict the construction.

Default Look Inside The Box

If you consider moving the access gate farther away from the storage units, that will open up space you could use for car storage rental.

What a great idea! Storage car spaces are a hot commodity in major cities where parking in limited.

Default Road Trip

I have not taken my annual road trip this year. It seems that gas, food, and all the other bills are eating up my money. Every time I store up some funds, I need a new tire, or something!

Default traveling trends

I think many travelers have curved their normal habits. I think the distance we are willing to travel for vacation or a weekend getaway has shortened.

do you think storage trends are curbing as well?
